Jack Harer is a gentleman—a true country gentleman, whose waistcoat smells of lavender and his shoes of well-trodden farmland. Don’t mind the drop of tea stubbornly clinging to his bushy ginger moustache; his vigour is admired among his friends, whom he oft invites along on evening walks to take the air….

Vigorous indeed! The guys at HanSolo surprised me again with this delightful strain. If Pineapple Express was “heavy”, Jack Harer is a breeze on a hot day. Foul weather? Master Harer doesn’t mind, he’s going for a stroll; he beckons you outside. Side-effects may include: involuntarily writing in verse, incoherent metaphors.

No, but seriously—I drink decaf, but this is what I imagine coffee drinkers must feel like after their morning joe. As I have most subtly suggested, this is the perfect stuff to take outside. Although it’s made me a bit scatterbrain, my mind feels crystal clear and energized. I don’t know if I’d be able to sit still for long enough to write or paint, but right now anything from cleaning my flat to putting on an improv show sounds like a blast.

The smoke itself is gentle, with a lingering taste of sweet tea. The colour variation between green and brown is also quite beautiful; I find the browner buds are a tad (and I mean a tad) harsher, but with a much fruiter taste which could mean (you guessed it) more terpenes. The stems are thin and the petals are densely packed and plentiful. All in all it’s just a lovely strain.

With that said, I’m going to enjoy the last of a gorgeous sundown in my garden with my new friend, Jack. Adieu!
