In the feeling of Spring, and having just recently put payday behind me, I went down to the Melville Green Market to see what was going on. I was there early, to my credit, and while the market had a buzz of that open air market energy, it was the tiniest buzz.

I remember back to September last year, before the blues of corona, to a market that was buzzing on the rooftop of 27 boxes, and Jeff had even organized a friend of his to run a bar!

(Reading this, I think that I watched a game of the world cup there…) editor

And while the market was quite, it is not surely expected?

I believe that the market was running monthly from level 3 of the lockdown, and is now back to running weekly on a Sunday. And I think that it is great! I think back to last year, and the number of stalls at the market, but some of those stalls were to much… I don’t need to look at 20 tables of cheap plastic maulers, Thank you!

The number of stalls today was good, and covered every thing that you could hope for at a market. There was good food, sober drinks, and not an overwhelming of cannabis paraphernalia. But what about a self professed “Organic Cannabis Lifestyle” Market?

The ingenuity of some of the entrepreneurs at the market was really amazing, and below I’m showing some of the things that I found amazing

Here the market really impressed. Of course you could find some pre rolled, and indoor and outdoor. There was beautiful golden honey dab on offer, but this was not why I was impressed. I was impressed by some of the fantastic ways that entrepreneurs are adapting to the opportunity that this market represents.

Joint Artists

I have seen them in stoner cult classics, I even once looked through a book in Stellenbosh, which promised me unconvincingly that I too could create the most amazing Joint creations…

…but never once, in my life, had I ever seen something like I saw today. Joint creations that blew my mind, and would give me a hard time of guessing where to light.

Below is one image, but I will do a separate post on this team! coming soon

Fantastic Edibles

These edibles just spoke to me, and I just had to get a picture. I was waling along, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw saw what I thought were the palest, greenest, frostiest, largest nuggets ever. And while I was disappointed regarding these being smoking Nuggets, I though that it was jus the coolest idea to make your edibles into this shape.

These edibles made my head turn, thinking I had found the palest buds

Home made goods

No market is complete without some good old fashioned home industry goods! With a product List of:

  • Hi Honey
  • Potters Pesto
  • Silly Chilli
  • Ganjungle Juice
  • On the Floor Butter
  • Crazy Carrot Cup Cakes

you know the type home industry this is. All products are sold in beautiful unlabeled glass, and while the store sign says CBD, in sure that these products might contain that and more…

Coaching for Cannabis Grows

Greg Jacobsen from indigrow.co.za was at the market with a fully equipped stall. While his store was on the very white side of the legal line, it was good to see Greg at the market. He is getting his brand out there, and it is his business to provide guidance and assistance to people who are looking to grow for themselves, and just need some guidance.

Online Edibles Catering Company

The Green Easy blew me away with the look of there stall. The beauty and attention to detail. amazing!

They have a range of Cordials, so that you can drink your edible if you so choose, and I purchased a bottle of the mango, so do look out for a product review on that.

Other than having a beautiful range of edibles, what struck me about The Green Easy was that upsell that they were pushing, which was catered events.

I just think that is such an amazing way to prepare an amazing party. Catered in Cannabis!

Fantastic Edibles, catered!
